Christmas in Teal Blue

Every now and then, I like to go a little "non-traditional" in my Christmas décor colours but only in small doses.

Often, I find a tablescape is the perfect way to introduce a different look that
I'm not sure I want ALL OVER the house.
As such, this year, I chose to go with a
"Christmas in Teal Blue" theme for my table.

So, while I love the wintry white of Christmas...

...I'm also enjoying the pop of bold colour with it.

The inspiration for this dramatic colour came from this fabulous sequined table runner which was a gift from a co-worker.

Place settings began with teal coloured placemats and napkins topped by white plates.

Aqua toned glass bowls with faux ice chunks hold a Christmas ball for a placecard.

A side view

I got these silver Christmas tree candles last year during a clearance sale.
They are wrapped up as favours.

A large hurricane vase is filled with a white pillar candle and teal Christmas ornaments. A green wreath and coordinating poinsettias are placed around the bottom.  Sequined cone trees flank the vase.  Together, they combine to create a dramatic centerpiece.

A trio of floating candles add a warm glow inside  blue mosaic glass bowls.

Snowflakes are hung from the chandelier for fun.

By adding a few teal coloured ornaments to the buffet décor, it is coordinated with the tablescape.

The teal and white tablescape adds drama to the dining room both by day and...

 ...by night.

Have you chosen any non-traditional colours for your Christmas décor this year?

 Thanks for visiting!

Hope you've enjoyed my Christmas in Teal Blue Tablescape!

Very Pretty table!! I enjoy the non-traditional color, it is always fun to see something different. I love the little teal glass bowls with the ice and ornament, a beautiful way to tip off a gorgeous place setting.

Your table is lovely, the teal blue and the yellow plates look wonderful together. I love all of your accent pieces, the teal poinsettia is very attractive and looks gorgeouse along with the teal trees. I am working on an aqua table - not a real easy thing to do on a budget. I do already have a lot of aqua but my pieces are pretty much summer in nature. I've seen what you have done here and it truly lovely. Seeing how nice everything works together in your tablescape does inspire me to go ahead and see what I can do with what I have.

Your teal blue is stunning! I've had aqua Christmas decor before and of course, my favourite pink and white. This year, I'm using a lot of cream and gold although I do have silver and pink as well on the the tree this year. Thank you for sharing your pretty tablescape and do stop by and say Hello. I'm another Canadian blogger.

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

And you KNOW I'm lovin' it that you carried the theme right on over to that buffet!!! Those icy glass Christmas trees are really slick!!!

Lovely, DD! I know what you mean about the color on the table. That's what makes it fun, we can do something different there, yet still keep the traditions elsewhere.
Merry Christmas, and thanks for sharing at Let's Dish!
